Project O.R.C.S is a groundbreaking new concept that combines the visual storytelling of PC RPGs with the unbridled creativity of tabletop games.
Choose your role as a Guide or Adventurer and embark on deep, story-driven quests, where your imagination is the only limit.
Project O.R.C.S. (Online Roleplaying with Collaborative Storytelling) is a multiplayer collaborative storytelling RPG where you and your friends creatively craft unique worlds, tell epic stories, and embark upon quests that are as dynamic as your group.
For decades, role playing games have existed in two parallel worlds. The tabletop world was full of limitless potential and storyline flexibility while the video game world featured ease of play and breathtaking experiences.
Project O.R.C.S. (Online Roleplaying with Collaborative Storytelling) is a multiplayer collaborative storytelling RPG where you and your friends creatively craft unique worlds, tell epic stories, and embark upon quests that are as dynamic as your group. Whether you choose the role of Guide to facilitate the group’s journey or you join as an Adventurer and craft your dream character, you and your party collaborate to play a story only limited by your imagination.
A Collaborative Storytelling Role Playing Game (CSRPG) is a new RPG sub-genre that combines the dynamism of tabletop gaming with the gameplay of a CRPG. You and your friends use the assets within the game to create adventures unique to your party then play through the adventures together using the characters you create within the very same game.
Right now the game is still in development, and we’re planning to enter into Early Access later this year. Keep up to date by joining our Discord and via our newsletter!
We're not 100% certain on the exact details of monetization, but we don't plan to be free-to-play and we're committed to a clear offering that avoids confusing mechanics and unnecessarily complex FOMO-driving systems.
We recommend that five players squad up, including one player taking on the role of Guide. As few as three players can still come together for a more intimate experience. Larger groups can collaborate within Project O.R.C.S. through its Safeholds system. Safeholds allow guilds to build a town together, gain powerful upgrades, and contribute to a larger story.
We're currently prioritizing a 2024 Early Access PC launch, although we plan to bring the Collaborative Storytelling adventure to as many platforms as possible.
Join the official Project O.R.C.S. Discord – you can meet, chat, and form your party with other members of the community.
You will need at least one player to play in the Guide role. Our goal with Project O.R.C.S. is for guiding to feel more like playing a game than GMing in tabletop RPGs. Everyone collaborates to create the adventure and tell the story, regardless of what role you choose!
Yup! Creating custom levels (we call them scenes) is a big part of the experience. We have simple yet powerful tools that let players create scenes either in advance of playing or in real-time with their friends just prior to embarking on the quest. We're big fans of the "zero prep" style of play, so we've built the game flow and creation tools with that in mind.
